The DokuFest magic edition begins

DokuFest, the festival which for years turned Prizren's city into a place where art lovers gather to experience the magic nights this festival offers, started its journey tonight, writes KultPlus. Even this year, Prizren's beautiful city, looks different, since tonight it has been overcrowd, and its vitality has grown markedly. That's the DokuFest effect everyone's learned.
The best music rhythms, and the very delicately selected movies will accompany you for days the largest festival in the country will last.
Tonight everyone had gathered at Kino Lumbardi to mark the opening of the festival, and to welcome you, the word first received, Erroll Shporta, cofounder of the festival, which with little mood began all evening.
The important thing is that this year the Dokufest started with the berkes. All because of the weather with four hours of sun reduction, two hours of rain, Shporta said. He didn't leave our politicians without stinging.
As a compliment, just for you guests, we've appointed some 30 high-ranking flight officials”.
All over, he invited everyone to join the festival as they are.
And you only have one thing left: come as you are. Like the varied Dokufest program. Come on whether you like long, short, national or international reflections. If you are women, children, elders, adults, radical, simple, mild, wise, especially wise, or you just want to reflect “on the free theme”. And since we're here tonight, I'm calling on you to make an opening like never in the DokuFest”.
This year's theme, which is “Reflection”, comes as an inspiration from the Velvet UnnderRunder “song I'll Be Your Mirror”, a song with which this edition began, as the text of it appeared in a large projector and guests sang in all at once.
The DocFest program aims to turn into a mirror of the world we live in, like a starting point for who and what we are. This theme will be investigated through the festival campaign as well as through a combination of film shows, digital exhibitions, conversation with artists, workers and musical performances.
This edition of the DokuFest is also marked with a broad variation of panels that will explore in depth the subject of reflection. Through them, it will reflect on the past of Kosovo and the region, but also on the future of the film in Kosovo through the industries of Kosovo
Kosovo Creative.
The movie "The Raft" directed by Marcus Lindeen was the film that made the opening of this seventeenth edition of the DokuFest. As usual, there are large numbers of short films this year too. Both the new talents and a number of the awardable filmmakers will not be missed this year either.
Also for the first time in Kosovo, this festival will bring a wide review of Taiwanese cinema with masters' films such as Edadard Yang and How Hsiao-hsien, as well as a number of rare pearls from this small country with remarkable cinema heritage.
At the opening of the festival, part of the programme was said to be dedicated to women's power, and that is exactly what you will find in a wonderful program of women's experimental cinema.
XV edition III will last on August 3rd-11th. To learn more about this edition program, you can follow the DokuFest official page. Likewise, KultPlus will continue to inform you every day about the festival.
