Citizens Against Territorial Exchange (Video)

President Hashim Thaci said there will be no partition of Kosovo, then cited the possibility of “correction of borders”, which is meant in exchange of territories with Serbia.

Some Kosovo citizens, interviewed today by Kosovapress, have expressed opposition to the exchange of territories or the secession of northern Mitrovica from Kosovo.

Some of them think the Presevo Valley will return to Kosovo, so it should not trade with northern Mitrovica.

Ismail Hamiti says there should not be exchanges of territories, but, according to him, they must be maintained, Kosovo currently has them.

I don't think there should be any exchange of territories, I even think that these territories that we have now, Kosovo that has at the moment, should be maintained. Understandably, with Kosovo's north, absolutely without the north, because if we preserve these territories, the likelihood is that they will come, Presevo, Bujanovac, Valley”, Hamiti has said.

Shaban Krasniqi thinks this idea is not good at all. Krasniqi fears that Albanians will always be losers, having presumptions of the past.

I don't think that's a good idea. That day Serbian politics always, as opposed to our Albanian policies, are lost. So, at least not with these politicians we have today”, Krasniqi said.

Naser Shabani has also indicated against the exchange of territories.

Not at all. That it is our country, the country of Albanians”, Shaban said.

Citizen Sanije Selmani, who is also an asamist in a city of Sweden, disagrees with, as she calls them, the games that Kosovo politics are making.

No, absolutely not. I do not agree with these games that Kosovo politics is making. I live outside, I'm from Sweden. My name is Sanije Selmani. I regularly conduct news on Albanian television. Although I am a politician myself, I am an assemblyist in the municipality of Sweden, where I live. We are very sorry that these games are taking so long and Europe is always playing, bringing dirty games a back of Kosovo Albanians”, Selmani said.

While Hakki Shala thinks Serbia has taken over territories from Kosovo in the past, which, according to him, should now not be allowed.

In my opinion, it should not be after exchange of territories that there is no need, that Serbia has taken us long enough from the Red Apple to Mitrovica, and now taking it back twice is too much. It is enough to leave the borders where they are and to respect human rights, both Serbia and Kosovo for Albanians and for Serbs”, Shala has said.

Meanwhile Januz Rusinovac thinks that all of Kosovo's wealth is in Mitrovica, and that is why no exchange of territories should be allowed.

He even calls the writings in the media bullshit.

No, no, absolutely not. The whole war is about Mitrovica, all the wealth is there. The Presevo Valley, it doesn't come back, apart from these are the portals that even people write, that I don't believe, that Americans don't do this job. Because of the trouble, not the exchange, it's all coming in. And KFORI is here”, Russia said.
