Association bill completes within EU deadline

The management team for establishing the Association of Serbian municipalities met today with OSCE Mission Chief Jan Bratu, and representatives of this mission in Kosovo, where it has been discussed working on the draft status of this association.

In this case it has become known that the draft association draft will be completed within the deadline set by the European Union, by August 4th, respectively, and that the management team is ready at any time after that date, at Brussels' request, to present the text to the committees for implementation and before participants of the dialogue at the top level, as envisioned in earlier Belgrade-Pristina agreements.

The members of the management team expressed regret, as in the work thus far, they were unable to meet in Brussels with the implementation committees, and to submit work on the text in phases, as envisioned in the agreement, and perhaps get some suggestions.

The management team will continue working on the draft statute, even though it is almost finished, with the aim of additional improvement, until the presentation in Brussels, it is said in the communique.
