The ICD-11 classifies sex dependence as a constant pattern of failure to control intense, repeated sexual impulses.
The disorder is not about how many sexual partners a person has or how much sex he has but is, rather, when sexual behavior becomes a central focus of one's life to the point of neglecting health and personal care, interests, activities, and other responsibilities.
Disorder may interfere with one's ability to go to work or finish school. It could hurt relationships. While someone with this disorder may want to resist their constant need for sex, it has been unsuccessful, since they cannot be satisfied with repeated sexual activity.
While sexual disorder does not involve concern that is entirely related to moral judgments and disapproval regarding impulses, incentives, or sexual behavior.
