Serbia's government has said that if Kosovo did withdraw all additional customs measures to seasonal products from Serbia, Macedonia and Bosnia, then similar measures would be taken.
So said Serbian Trade Minister Rasim Lajiq, who said that while Kosovo does not fully withdraw from the decision made days ago to impose additional taxes on 30 per cent of trees, vegetables and corn, counter-mass are inevitable by the three countries mentioned above, FoNet reports.
Those comments, Lajic told after meeting representatives of the four CEFTA member states.
He said they have received unofficial information that the blockade on the part of Kosovo has been removed for corn, which has also been involved in measures taken by Kosovo, which is the most important for Serbia and above all for Macedonia, broadcast Koha.net.
The Serbian minister said he has unofficially learned that customs duties have remained for tomatoes, peppers, grapes, berries, raisins, raisins and apples.
“We have formed a team that will urgently react to similar situations”, Lajic has said, after meeting with the relevant ministers from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia, as well as representatives of Montenegro's competent Directorate.
We do not want trade warfare, but we fight against the principle that anyone does whatever it takes to think of”, Lajic stressed.
