Mitrovica police have this appeal for citizens

Mitrovica police appeal to all traffic participants to be careful while driving their cars.

Police make this appeal after two accidents, which at a one-day interval of two people have lost their lives.

Given the increased flow of road traffic, the increase in the number of fatal accidents with fatal consequences, particularly the last two cases in the area of responsibility of the Mitrovica region, where between July 22nd and July 23, 2018, two accidents with tragic consequences have taken place, where two people have lost their lives.

Under the Regional Directorate in Mitrovica, with the aim of preventing traffic accidents, additional measures have been undertaken and additional measures are being taken by increasing entity capacities. In support of road traffic units, additional units from the level of police stations have also been hired, with cases for participants who conflict with regulations the law envisions in traffic are being pronounced, with the aim of preventing cases of accidents in particular with fatal consequences.

In view of both tragic incidents such as caused accidents and accident, the police appeal to all traffic participants, in particular to drivers, to increase care and vigilance during the direction of their vehicles, to respect legal provisions, road signalling, to stay on the road, not to direct vehicles to the impact of fatigue, sleep, or under the influence of alcohol, to avoid telephone use by telephone and other actions that could cause danger and uncertainty during vehicle management.
