By new law, Thaci's salary is higher than Haradinaj and Wessel

The new Law on Salaries had come as a need to become the level of public employees' salaries, so that there would be no major differences between executive staff and officials, as well as to apply the “principle as much work as being paid”.

However, if the draft law on the Pagan published on the official site of Kosovo's prime minister, the Government, is seen, respectively, and estimate the pre-represented cofficients with this draft, the basic wage set out in public consultations during drafts of the bill -- which is 239 euros -- then it turns out that senior state officials and higher degrees executives benefit more from this law, because they also rank higher with cofficiency.

According to the new wage bill, the president who holds the cofficiency 12 will have the 2868 euro salary, which is worth about 196 euros more than he currently has, which is 2672 euros (according to property statements).

It is immediately followed by the prime minister, the Speaker of the Parliament, as well as the chairman of the Constitutional Court, who will have the 2390-euro salary, because they have the pay deficit 10.

If this is compared to the current ones Kosovo Prime Minister (1130 has, according to the property declaration), then it will have a 1260-euro pay hike. But this has changed to the December 20th decision of 2017, when he decided to pay himself 2,950 euros. Now, at this current salary, according to the Law for the Salat, if this goes into effect, Haradinaj will suffer a little discount, exactly lowering the 560 euros in salary.

The chairman of the Assembly, which currently has a salary of 2555, according to its declaration of wealth, reduces the wages, some by 165 euros. While the president of the Constitutional Court, which has a salary of 3108 euros, the salary is reduced by 718 euros.

The wages of Supreme Court Chairman, State Prosecutor, the Chairman of the Judicial Council have been appointed, as well as the chairman of the Prosecutorial Council they will have, if passed and passed, the salary of 2151 euros a month.

Out of 1912 euros a month, meanwhile, the ombudsman's salaries, the vice heads of the Parliament, the chief prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor, the deputy prime ministers, as well as the deputy head of the Constitutional Court, who are classified with a cost co-efficial 8.

If we are seen classising the central government's wages, the ministers will have salaries of nearly 1792 euros, while their deputy from 1434 euros.

Chiefs of staff in the cabinets of the Parliament, the Presidency and the Government will have a salary of 1314 euros. So will high political advisers. The cabinet's deputy cabinets, meanwhile, which have a 5-euro coffient, will have a salary of 1195 euros. Directors, aside from the directorate at the Kosovo Security Force Ministry, which will have a salary of 1266 euros, are not included in the salary law draft.

The first and second adviser in the Assembly, Presidencys, the prime minister's office and at the ministry will have wages with the 4.5th cofficient, which stands at 1075.5 euros a month.

As far as local governance is concerned, of the highest pay was the head of the Pristina municipality, or the capital, which has been classified in the co-efficiency same as that of the Supreme Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, with coficiency 7, which means these two will have 1673 euros' pay.

The mayors of other municipalities, which have a total of 41,35, 31 municipal advisers, will already have a salary of 1434 euros in monthly salaries. While in municipalities that have under 31 municipal councilors, the chairman's salary will be slightly lower -- approximately 1314 euros. Municipal directors, meanwhile, are meant to have 3.65 co-ficiators, which would suggest their salary would be 872.35 euros, equal to the wage of deputy mayors. The head of a municipality's cabinet will already have a salary of 478 euros.

And the members of the Comunal Assembly, which have been classified with confisors of 1.70, will have a monthly salary of 406.3 euros.

The wage bill has raised debate and reactions from public institutions employees. Finally, the Odas of Saints have reacted to such professionals as those of professional doctors, nurses, pharmacists and physicists. Reactions have also come from prison employees, as well as the administration of prosecutors and courts, who complain they are not involved in the increase affecting judges and senior officials in the institutions where they work.

The Kosovo government on 20 December last year has made a decision to raise salaries for the prime minister, deputy prime ministers, ministers, and the rest of the government cabinet. But wages have been reduced to 32.50 euros for deputy ministers.

Until making that decision, the government cabinet's salary level has not been at this level. The prime minister's salary has been 1,443.20 euros, while with the decision made, the salary has risen to 2,950 euros -- a 100 percent increase.

The increase in Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's salary is not the only increase. High pay raise has benefited and its subordinates.

Of 2,500 euros will be paid to deputy prime ministers, while earlier paid by 1,356.30 euros -- an increase of 90 per cent.

The ministers are currently paid 2,000 euros per month, out of the earlier 1,270.50 euros, with an increase of more than 70 per cent from December.

If the new Law on Salaries comes into effect, these figures change.
