Kosovo Embassy in Slovenia gives official information on the accident where Tahir Palushi died

The Kosovo Embassy in Ljubljana has expressed condolences for Tahir Palush's death during last night's accident in Slovenia as it was returning on vacation in Kosovo. Petrit Hajdari, Kosovo's sister-in-law in Slovenia, has stated that the embassy was announced last night on the case where one Kosovar has died and another has suffered serious injuries. According to Hajdari, the two Kosovars were returning for holidays in their homeland.

“Ambada of the Republic of Kosovo has received information that last night in this communications disaster a person has lost his life, while the other associate has suffered serious injuries, which has been transferred to the nearest hospital for treatment. The accident, citizens from Kosovo, were returning to their homeland for vacation”, Hajdari has declared for Insider.

He has also said the accident occurred until the two Kosovars were fixing their car tyre while being hit by a Croatian-registered truck.

“According to information, disaster occurred at the moment while they were fixing their vehicle tire, in the highway's aid strip, near the place called Grmolje/ Slovenia. According to information, in this case they were hit by a Croatian census truck that was moving in the same direction”, he stated.

The consul has further said that the Kosovo Embassy in Ljubljana is passing the case and contacted the victims' families.

“Ambada of the Republic of Kosovo is tracking the situation and having contacted family members and accidents to offer any kind of assistance they will need. The embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Slovenia feels regret over the case and expresses condolences to the deceased family, while the injured healing as soon as we can --” -- has declared Hajdari.
