The former lightweight champion had been found dead in his car in Soho in June 1965 during the reign of the Kray brothers and Richardson gang in London.
An investigation by police alludes that he has killed himself after a long battle with depression and increased debt.
Roger Huntman, son of Freddie's promoter friend, said he tried to blackmail his father for mafia connections, said “DililyMail”, the Periscope broadcast.
He said he knew these people were connected to him. If you don't give me the money, I'll move fast on the road”, Huntman said.
