Texas's newspaper, Liberty County Windicator, published parts of the Declaration on Independence Day, on July 4th, through its Facebook page and algorithms that were considered problematic as part of “the ruthless Indian league”, reports the BBC.
Facebook initially automatically informed the newspaper that publishing the contradictory part violates company standards regarding hate speech, but then apologized and published the controversial part of the Declaration's text.
“We seem to have made a mistake and removed your post, which did not violate our” standards, says Facebook in a Facebook message.
