This investment will improve the quality of electricity supply for 1179 family economies and businesses in this area.
The next KED project provides stable tension supply, net loss reductions, and avoids risk of exposure to the old network.
In addition to the village of Uglare, this project improves electricity supplies to surrounding villages, as a portion of the Anamorawa region is supplied by the Uglaan remote.
Victor Buzhala, ECDS spokesman, says that with such investments, the promise to modernise the electricity network in Kosovo is being fulfilled.
“KEDS extends investments according to master plan across Kosovo's entire territory. Gjilan as well as other cities is our investment priority”, Buzhala said.
In this case, from our investment in Uglara, the good quality of electricity supply will have 1200 families and businesses, and this brings us joy to realize that we are fulfilling our promise that we will modernise the power grid to the last house”, he added.
The KEDS resident Kryziu-Hyseni has welcomed investment, saying the outdated network has presented problems with electricity supplies.
“There have been interventions in the trafo, on remote. New pillars have also been established as a whole. As a resident, I expect KED for such investments not to stop, since the problems here have been over the years with regard to the old-age network”, she says.
The village of Uglare is located about two miles [5 km] from the center of Gjilan. Some 1500 people live there.
Long ago, even the mayor of the Gjilan municipality, Lutfi Haziri, had indicated the need for investment in the old network in the municipality he runs.
He has said the municipality of Gjilan and KED have had good co-operation.
We've had co-operation during the implementation of the municipality projects we've done in public infrastructure. Of course, we expect the KED management to make the necessary investments because it is their duty to meet the needs of citizens”, Haziri said. /Periscopi/
