As citizens continue not to enjoy freedom of movement towards the European Union (BE), Kosovo MPs and government are providing alternative routes to travel without visas.
This is enabling the latter through Albania, respectively, through the decree for granting Albanian citizenship by President Ilir Meta.
He is continuing to grant Albanian citizenship to Kosovo politicians, writes further “Voice”.
It is estimated that about forty Kosovo Parliament deputies are moving visa-free towards the EU, even with passports from Albania, Serbia (mainly Serb deputies of the Kosovo Assembly), as well as passports from various Western states.
On the other hand, Kosovo is awaiting the report by the European Commission (KE), with which it will be assessed if the country has met the last condition for visa liberalisation, that of fighting organised crime and corruption.
