Minister Tahiri during today's session of the Kosovo Assembly, has presented to MPs the fulfillment of the changing Criminal Code, saying his adoption is the way of empowering rule of law, integration process and sealing the free movement of citizens.
But, MP Sejdiu reacted to minister Tahiri, saying the emergency treatment of this draft code is unreasonable.
Our parliamentary group basically supports this draft code. Of course, our criticism and proposals for improvement will also be presented to the commission and working groups with amendments. But an important issue must be stressed because a request has come for urgent treatment of this draft code. Given the particular importance this draft command has, especially in connecting with human rights in Kosovo, I believe that such quick treatment, dealing with this draft code within two weeks as proposed, does not believe it is reasonable”, Sejdiu said.
