Mitrovica, with the worst social situation in Kosovo

He is also hosted by the mayor of the municipality, Agim Bahtiri, Deputy Chairman Faruk Mujka and Director of the Directorate for European Integration and Social Goodness Nazan Kreveshi.

According to a communique, the topic of conversation between Chairman Bahtiri and Minister Recica were the numerous social problems the Mitrovica municipality has, respectively, co-ordination of activities to resolve these problems, as both agreed that the social situation in the Mitrovica municipality is the most serious one in all of Kosovo.

During the conversation, Minister Recica was also announced about the process of dividing residences for families with serious social status in Stantrg, as well as the situation in the former objective of the Centre for Social Affairs, for which the municipality earmarked 1,600 euros per month, even though this building is under ministry management.

Minister Recica told Mayor Bahtiri that for the above-mentioned building, there is a project expected to be realised very soon, while for the separation of social dwellings in Stantrg, he said it is good there were no problems in selecting beneficiaries.

After finishing the conversation in the president's cabinet, Minister Recica and Chairman Bahtiri, with their associates went to the Centre of Culture “Rexhep Mitrovica”, on the edge of Ibrit, where many citizens, whose families are benefiting social assistance.

There Mayor Bahtiri and Minister Recica announced those present on the initiative to implement the project to ease citizens' social problems, respectively, on creating conditions for employing by one member of each family living by social assistance.
