Deputy Justice Minister Naim Celaj does not know why in the new Law on Heritage, which is in procedures within the Kosovo Assembly, the draft draft of Article 13, which speaks the right to representation is not included at all.

As Kosovo's “Justice in Kosovo aired, Deputy Justice Minister Naim Celaj himself, who had represented on judicial procedures Shyrete Berisha, has indicated he does not know why Article 13 of the Law was not drafted.

The case of Shyhrete Berisha, the woman from Suhareka who became a symbol of women who fail to realise their rights on property, as the research showed will not find a solution with the new Law.

Although the Scheretette legal battle, launched in 2001, ended first in 2017, and Shyhret was recognized as right in half of the house and property, such cases could be repeated over and over again with the arrangement, as the current Law on Heritage stipulates.

This law was sent by the previous government and I just came into this position I was interested in and I've examined what it contains and what the changes it promotes. To be honest, there are some fundamental and qualitative changes that involve cutting the time of coexistence for recognizing the right to a marriage mate who lives in extramarital communities and then strengthens, or guarantees, the rights the child has in the inheritance procedure. In this case, the minor child always has to be appointed to the statement of admission, or not accepting his share of the inheritance should always be appointed guardian”, Deputy Prime Minister Celay said.

I've seen that it doesn't give a choice, maybe the way it's expected of all of us, from society and myself. Because the matter of representation, or the right of a wife, in case her husband died before the legaciesmen, or what is called the right to representation, is left untreated by this bill”, Naim Celay stated.
