Conversely, a diet that privileges fish and white meats reduces the risk of death. At least 9.3 percent and 7.6 percent of deaths - for males and females respectively - are inevitable by reducing portions of consumed red meat.
A study published in the magazine “Archies of Internal Medicine”, of Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, says this. In the past, various studies had documented that a diet rich in red meat increases the risk of various tumors.
While this time experts have tested a total of 37,698 men and 83,644 women, following the sample for an average of 28 and registering 23,926 deaths in total, out of which 5,910 of cardiovascular diseases and 9,464 cancer.
