European Commission officials have stated that the assessment of the latest criteria for visa liberalisation, respectively, is still continuing.
The month of June is expected to finally determine the fate of visa liberalisation for Kosovars.
After the end of this month, the European Commission (KE) is expected to publish the recommendation about how much the latest visa criteria have been met, fighting organised crime and corruption, the paper “Voice” writes today.
Experts in the integration process consider the assessment to be positive and that the liberalisation process could be finalised this year.
The same are hoped by institutional leaders, who say Kosovo has already handed all the data to European Union officials (BE) for the works that have been done about this process.
Meanwhile, officials from the EC have told the paper that the assessment of the latest criteria is still continuing in this institution.
Meanwhile, it has become known that the moment all conditions are met, the Council of Ministers and the European Parliament will also formally approve the EC's recommendation.
