Former chief of economic crimes is not suspended by police even after confirmation of the indictment

Two months since the State Prosecutor has filed charges against former chief of economic crimes in the Kosovo Police, Emin Beqiri. But as the prosecution's body charges him with three criminal acts, Beqiri continues to work in the Kosovo Police. He just changed his job, writes Time Ditore today.

In the Kosovo Police have said they operate in co-ordination with the Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK) and that, according to them, they have not received recommendation for his suspension from work.

Kosovo's “Police are the law enforcement institution, and in all cases where there may be any police official who may be in conflict with the law, the necessary consecutive legal authorisation actions” are undertaken, the Kosovo Police response reported.

This institution has said it obeys IPK's decisions.
