Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Behgjet Pacolli, through a Facebook status, has said there is very good news for our country regarding Interpol membership.
Despite not being any new news and Kosovo has not yet joined Interpol, Pacolli has presented it as something new and good for the country, Periscopi reports.
This is Behgjet Pacolli's full status:
Great news for our country.
Kosovo is reconfirmed once again in the agenda to join Interpol.
Support was received in majority votes, in Lyon, France, at the Interpol Executive Council meeting.
Kosovo now expects at the General Assembly to be an equal member of Interpol in November this year in the United Arab Emirates.
The membership of the Republic of Kosovo in Interpol poses no threat to anyone. Kosovo in Interpol contributes to the global fight against organised crime, violent extremism and other criminal phenomena. /Periscopi
