Rugova: Only 2017 over 300 thousand euros have been invested by KEDS in downtown Istog

Rugova points to co-operation over the years in the middle of the municipality he runs and KEDs.

The Istog municipality has very good co-operation with KEDS, where we constantly hold meetings with senior KEDS representatives from Pristina, as well as with other representatives who are in the KED offices in Istog, where it is communicated on any request, remarks or suggestions on both the municipality side and the citizens' complaints that are always analysed by the ECDS and the Commission. We as a municipality are very satisfied with the services provided by KEDS, and especially in recent years that are investing in the renovation of the existing” network, Haki Rugova declares.

KED spokesman Viktor Buzhala said the KEDS was focused on investments in Istog, and specifically the extended underground network because there is strong winds in Istog.

“KEDS is focused on investments in the country's entire territory. But each municipality has its own specifications. The Istog municipality is constantly confronted with strong winds, which cause little trouble on the power grid. For this reason, we are extending the underground network to the center of town in order to eliminate problems from atmospheric factors”, Buzhala said.

Istog head Haki Rugova next speaks in numbers about one of the investments the Kosovar Company for Distributation and Electricity Supply KED has brought to this municipality.

Istog's “communal last year, so at (2017) along with KEDS, a co-operation agreement has been realised for the project ʹconstruction of the underground network in the centre of the city of 10 and 30 KLA, worth 300,000.00 euros, which the project will continue even this year, as well as the installation of some new trafosties in several villages of the Istog municipality, as well as the continuation of old net renovations as well as the design of low and low tension pillars. This is for every gratitude”, Istog's number one says.

Rugova claims other projects will constantly take place this year on the part of KED in this municipality. Istog's chairman, recalls the atmospheric specifications that Istog has, also known as the hard winds region, which he says KEDS considers even with the projects it brings.
