The prosecution in Albania has launched investigations, putting the two main flour import companies in Albania to criminal responsibility.
Both companies occupy about 40% of the market in Albania and import flour from Kosovo, Koha Ditore writes today.
The prosecution has confirmed that it has recorded criminal proceedings for operations “smuggling with other goods” and “The illegal production of industrial and food goods and goods”, while the National Food Agency in Albania (AKU) claims that the work is done deliberately with material profit, as low-level property is bought at cheaper prices in Kosovo and sold in Albania at a higher price, where it is used for bread production.
Albania's National Food Authority (AKU) has blocked during the search at the warehouses of these two firms 35 tonnes of flour after the alleged fraud of the market's societies at the level of proteins declared on the label.
