Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has spoken of the “Proto” relationship and the damage it has done to Kosovo's justice system. He has promised the tribunal's greatest efficiency in hitting corrupt relatives and confiscating illegal assets.
Tahiri, who was a guest on the “Debat Plus” at RTV Dukagujini, has said that I cannot speak how much this has damaged the justice system.
“The PDK, led by Haradinaj, has taken a series of major measures -- from budget growth, increased professional collaborators, increased judges ...”, Tahiri said, citing other measures and laws adopted in line with European Union requirements.
“We will discipline politicians and others, the moment we have a powerful judiciary, which will hit corrupt relatives”, he said.
Tahiri said anyone who will be the subject of the investigation would also be investigated his property.
“We are making the legal basis, which will be effective even in confiscating criminal assets, in confiscating illegally acquired assets”, Tahiri said, promising that the efficiency of the judiciary will increase in confiscating illegal property.
