Minister of European Integration, Gift Hoxha, has met today with the new German GIZ director, David Oberhuber, with whom she has discussed the overall co-operation, the powerful support Germany provides, in particular, the GIZ for the integration process.
Minister Hoxha thanked Mr. Oberhuber, stressing that German support is essential in the processes Kosovo is going through, in particular the integration process.
“GIZ has provided strong support for the integration process, I consider that assistance is essential in this process. I stressed the achievements and challenges of this process, pledging that implementation of recommendations from Brussels are priority, just as the visa liberalisation process for our citizens and the implementation of the SAA”, Minister Hoxha stressed.
Mr. Oberhuber highlighted GIZ's commitment to this process, stressing the achievements, but also the challenges of this process.
Kosovo will have even further strong support in the integration process from the GIZ, Mr. Oberhuber, noting there is still much work to be done, but Kosovo's path is already confirmed, within Euro-Atlantic values and integrations.
He has reconfirmed that GIZ support will continue in line with Government priorities, the integration process.
The conversationators agreed that the European Agency of Reforms and economic reforms are a good basis for advancing the integration agenda, an agenda which the GIZ will support.
