He has called on Customs and the Ministry of Finance to implement this decision, since his import of milk from Bosnia is hurting Kosovo producers.
“We have also brought a decision following the demands of milkmen. We've taken a measure of milk coming from Bosnia. After the investigation, it has proved that there is growth year-on-year and risks our producers because even in the market it is cheaper. We've set a measure.
We don't know why Customs doesn't do it. I ask Customs and the Ministry of Finance to implement this decision. I have seen a reaction from the prime minister's office that this decision must be implemented. Customs has asked for additional information and I believe the decision will be implemented.”, Minister Hasani said in an interview in RTK.
He has spoken in this interview about two other decisions, the measure for flour and blocs from Serbia. Hasani has said these two decisions have had a lot of impact on Kosovo flour producers. He has also said such decisions are not very easy, but, not only should a business interest be viewed but it should be seen further away from what the country's overall interest is.
“are not easy decisions because we have different reactions, but we should see general interest. Because each measure reduces the profits of a certain firm, but we need to see the long-term interest”, Hasani has said.
