The minister has stressed that Kosovo is in the best phase it can invest in, citing many factors that have contributed to improving the business climate.
The importance of the mining sector speaks to the organisation of this conference. We've been in touch with the organisers of this conference and strongly supported such an organisation because we think that Kosovo is in the best phase to make investments, especially in the mining field because Kosovo has underground wealth that can be exploited”, Hasani said.
Hasan has stressed that 11 areas of particular interest have been defined where it can be sought for minerals, which according to him, the best route for investors is the Strategic Investment Law.
“We thank the organisers for this conference that they have made and for the co-operation they've been providing, because they've brought in a list that has set out 11 areas of particular interest that we're thinking of as the minister, because we're carrying the Strategic Investment Commission, which we already have the Strategic Investment Law that has created great facilities and I believe that the best way to start the work of investors in these particular areas of interest is the Strategic Investment Law<1>, the minister said.
Hasan has announced that they have agreed to the Inter-ministerial Commission to have even more facilities for investors in the mining field.
“At the last meeting we've had in the Interministerial Commission that I am running has had analysis and demand from all investors in the mining fields and we have agreed to create facilities, make a recommendation for the Government of Kosovo that investors who can invest in these areas, following receiving the status of the strategic investor, in case there are no minerals at which they did research to offer the opportunity in a legal term to withdraw without penalty”, Hasani explained.
Minister Bajram Hasanika said that the year 2018 will be a year of investments, because according to him, all preconditions have been created.
The “Ven to note that even road infrastructure is good because highways are built, and this creates facilities for businesses as well. All these are preconditions to come to foreign investors and Kosovo to see an ideal market. We expect this year to be a year of hope, a year of investment”, Minister Hasani has said.
