German members of the European Parliament, Marcus Ferber, and David McAllister have asked Kosovo to fight organised crime and corruption, to reform justice and fight unemployment.
“Besa Foundation” is one of the participants of the three-day conference “Diapora Fho”, which is being held in Pristina. This association, attended by 100 Albanian businesses in Germany, has received a letter from German Eurodeputs Markus Ferber and David McAllister, who suggest that they be as busy as possible in Kosovo.
They write that in the 10th jubilee Kosovo has achieved much by being recognised by more than 100 UN member states, they have confirmed that too much remains to be done in fighting corruption and organised crime, justice reforms and fighting unemployment.
Also required to normalise relations with Serbia even “why it is difficult, but the agreements have to be reached under implementation”, German deputies write and show that Europe is the biggest donor in Kosovo.
“Germanism as the main partner has initiated the Berlin process, to strengthen infrastructure and establish a new network according to the German-French model”, German MPs write among other things.
They also caution that in projects such as political and economic support, it is necessary to engage the diaspora.
In Germany alone, some 350 live. Thousands of Kosovars, which have experience in the areas of German administration and judicial order. This would be a huge contribution to the country's transition. In this regard the diaspora has an important role.
Meetings like this diaspora speak, are important because state and non-state bodies are united to exchange their own experience”, German politicians estimate.
