Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Kujtim Gashi has resigned from the position of Asamblist in Prizren's Municipal Assembly.
He has said he is doing so because of his commitments in the government, but also not to hold two positions at the same time.
The honoured “citizens, members and sympathies of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the branch in Prizren. Today, I have resigned from the position of Adviser (Asmblemist) of the Prizren Municipal Assembly”, he wrote on Facebook.
My resignation is linked to my work as minister and unable to contribute my contribution as municipal adviser, but also with the desire not to hold two positions at the same time. I also want to enable another colleague who will replace me in the 481nd municipality.
The honoured “I was the bearer of the candidate list for the municipal assembly from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the branch in Prizren, where thanks to the great support from you, we received 19440 votes, an extraordinary increase in the number of votes from last 2013's” elections, he wrote on Facebook.
