Colak has said he would never allow Kosovo to be discriminated against at such events.
Colak has stressed that with the EU's dedication, all Western Balkan states will be treated equally at the Sofia Summit.
Kosovo's “Partnership in this Sam and its representation equal to other participating states is undisputed. We're an independent state, and we'd never allow discrimination in such events. But we should thank the EU much for its dedication, so that this Sam can treat all Western Balkan states equally”, President Thaci's cabinet chief said.
Colak has estimated that the summit in Sofia will reconfirm that Kosovo has the open door for EU membership.
Despite political problems that he claims make Kosovo's path difficult.
What is clear is the fact that this Samit reconfirms that Kosovo also has the door open for EU membership despite the very difficult political problems associated with and making our path the most difficult, says Colak of news.net.
Speaking of expectations from this Sam, Bekim Colak said that in this event the Balkan states expect European future to be clarified.
According to him, the powerful symbol of this summit must be accompanied by concrete steps.
“S first, this EU Sam and six Western Balkan states are rightly considered historical because of the symbolic and message he carries with him. Yet, as powerful as possible, it will not be enough if it is not accompanied by concrete steps. Therefore, the Western Balkan states on the political side expect clarity for their European future”, the president's adviser said.
He stressed that various infrastructure projects are expected to be implemented after the summit.
“While in terms of financial and economic assistance from the EU, expectations are to start implementing infrastructure projects aimed at improving and modernising interconnection, then projects in the field of energy, furniture, youth, etc.”, concluded Bekim Colak.
The Sofia summit will be held on May 17th, while Kosovo will be presented by the country's president, Hashim Thaci.
