140 Albanian politicians and artists who took state loans as homeless

Under the version of the law adopted by parliament two weeks ago, amnesty will benefit only displaced families because of construction of public works and financial instability.

Amnesty is envisioned at Article 77, Article 5 of the new social housing law. “Displaced Families due to the construction of public works and financial inefficiency, which have benefited loans through the National Homes Entity, are awarded monetary obligations, according to the definitions of the Council of Ministers”, the law adopted by Parliament said.

Meanwhile, the first version of the bill envisioned the amnesty involvement of other categories as well. The first version predicted: “The displaced households due to construction of public works and other categories in financial inefficiency, which have obtained loans through the National Benesan Ent, are given monetary obligations, according to the definitions in the Council of Ministers” ruling.

During the review, lawmakers have removed the other range of words, restricting amnesty. Other Categories could also benefit more than 140 officials, including deputies, directors, and others, who have taken loans as homeless from the National Homes Enti, although today they own some luxury homes and cars to the value of a residence. In the final analysis, however, families to be pardoned the remaining loan installments will be determined by government decision.

Officials and former officials who took credit:

Part of the list below have taken the loan as homeless and another part after living away from the workplace, as in the case of MPs. This category is handled by the Fund for senior officials and underworkers.
