Serbia's cause, Kosovo loses around 20m euros annually

In the margins of this conference, Minister Luka met with his German counterpart, Peter Altmaier, with whom they discussed exercising more influence on the Government of Serbia, for the quick implementation of the full agreement on interconction, and also to enable Kosovo to become a member of the European Organisation of Transitions, ENTSO, which is the only obstacle to the integration of the energy market with Albania and the region.
Currently, Kosovo is losing about 22m euros a year since it failed to implement the Interconction Agreement signed between Kosovo and Serbia about 5 years ago.
Minister Luka expressed this concern at the meeting with European Commission Vice President for Energy Union Maros Shefkovic.
Meanwhile, Germany's Foreign Affairs Minister Heiko Maas spoke of the help the German state has offered to all developing countries to develop the energy sector, helping local economies.
Otherwise, at Conference “Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue” German Economy and Energy Minister Peter Altmayer before those present spoke of the importance of energy in the economic sector and the transition that countries must gradually make from traditional energy to energy that is smart and green, focusing on renewable energy and energy efficiency.
