The episode of penalty has raised many doubts about the judge and, as a result, himself U n EFA has taken an official stance, saying it is not yet ready to apply VAR in “Chongs” and “Europe Legues”.
The European Football Organization has taken time before applying, as it wants to abide by the safety and efficiency of the system. Anyway, even FIFA today has officially requested from U. EFA, to install technology in aid to judges, in European matches.
President Gianni Infantino himself has not preferred to take a stand on whether or not it was 11 meters for Madrid's Real, but said VAR needs respect for the millions invested in the sport.
I think UEFA should start working on installing technology in the games where it is organising itself. Of course we trust judges in the playing field, but technology would help avoid human error.
“Minimically, technology would erase all the dilemmas or sorrows of clubs, as it would intervene in time. There must be respect for the millions invested by many” clubs, Infantino said.
