Patriarch Irinej praises Vuciqi that they are fighting heroicly for Kosovo

The patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Irinej, a week before the Orthodox Easter celebration has indicated that Serbia's “president, Aleksandar Vuciq, is fighting heroicly for Serbs and our state in Kosovo and Metohija” and that his attitude and war show that he knows what he is doing.

I already said it, but I still want to stress it. President Vuciq is fighting as a lion and heroicly for our people and for our country in Kosovo. I congratulate him on that. Being in his place today, none of us can imagine how difficult it is, but his behavior and war show that he knows what he is doing. We pray that God will help him and give him the strength to continue in this difficult but just battle, the TC Irinej quotes me.

Patriarch Irinej made this statement on Saturday in the landscapes of Patriarchy, where the Christian festival “on the Sabbath of Lazarus” was being celebrated.

Long ago, Serbian Patriarch Irinej has said the Serbian Orthodox Church is unique in terms of internal dialogue under way in Serbia, for Kosovo.
