Minister Beqaj reacts after the indictment is filed in the case of Pronto.

Innovation Minister Besim Beqaj has been declared for the indictment filed by the Special Prosecution in connection with the case “Proto” where protangs are the officials of the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

Through a letter to media Beqaj stressed that time will show that all of these will remain a bad story about Kosovo's statehood.

The laws clearly define institutional responsibility for the case in question and the competencies for institutional decision making. Conform these laws and government policies I am fully convinced that under no circumstances have I committed legal violations and overstepping institutional competencies and much less misusing them”, he has said.

The year 2018 is the 15th year of my work as institutional high-level responsible. Over the years, I have exercised each position with professional responsibility and in full compliance with the laws of the Republic of Kosovo and with the highest international standards.

Today by the media, I have found that the investigative process concerning the case of wiretapping has resulted in an indictment by the Kosovo Special Prosecutor, which I have also expected, in view of political developments in the country. However, I have expected that the rules will be officially announced by the responsible bodies.

I, with full awareness and full harmony with the laws of Kosovo, have performed my duties in implementing the Kosovo Government's policies. The work of each senior state official defines government policies presented with the government programme and implementable laws in Kosovo. Law clearly defines institutional responsibility for the case in question and competencies for institutional location. Conform these laws and government policies I am fully convinced that under no circumstances have I committed legal violations and overstepping institutional competencies and much less misuse of them.

I, I, and I am an institutionalist, and I believe that in Kosovo there are responsible and professional institutions that will address the case in question in detail. I am willing, as I have been so far, to explain and argue my every political and legal act. Written facts and documents are always more valuable than immediate and biased estimates.

Time will show that all of these will remain a bad story about Kosovo's statehood.
