In this case, the Executive Board of the Kosovo Olympic Committee will send 40-45 athletes of 12 sports to Tarragona, Spain.
The selection of athletes will be conducted on the basis of three criteria: quality, university and gender equality.
The final list of sportsmen, trainers and other officials will be determined at the KOK Executive Board's upcoming meeting.
On the Kosovo Olympic Committee, federations have sent about 80 athletes' applications.
The KOK has been a member of the ICG since October 30th 2015, when it was admitted to an extraordinary General Assembly held in Washington DC.
