Djuriqi's reaction to Kosovo platform for finalisation of dialogue with Serbia comes

According to Serbian media, Pristina authorities, on that platform which they have called “the final phase of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia”, said the dialogue is aimed at Kosovo's membership in the UN and mutual recognition.

Responding to journalists' questions, Djuric has said he is not surprised by such a Pristina stance and that “has not expected more from politicians serving with such tricks”, prompting the question “if they really think it can be negotiated if the outcome of the negotiations is prejudged”.

If the attitude is cemented in advance, then the question of what the opportunity to do will be. Therefore, this is an issue that has to do with the mediators in the talks, which I think should say their position clearly on this issue, and to me, the fact that Pristina has made this move is not surprising at all. He stressed that Serbia has not given up on achieving its political goals, including establishing the Serbian Communist Association one of the most important goals, and added that a clear message has been sent in this direction.

Djurd warned that Belgrade has decided to wait and see if it will start with forming association.

“One of the main preconditions for this to happen according to the implementation plan is for Pristina to adjust its legal framework. Let's see, then, if that's gonna happen in three and a half months and if they're telling the truth, when they said they wanted to form the Association”, Djuric said.

He said Belgrade has expressed doubts about Pristina's goals, adding that it does not believe the political will exists to create association, “because if Pristina wants to do something, it would do it in the previous five years”.

“We will continue to do our work, and we will continue with political pressure and the fight with our most powerful weapons, and that is the Serb people in Kosovo and the willingness to stay and survive in these spaces as a state of”, Djuric has said.

He said that during his mandate the number of his visits to Kosovo is three-way, and said he has thus shown that he has no problem sharing fate with the Serb people in Kosovo.

When it comes to resolving the Kosovo issue, I consider it necessary that as many people from central Serbia get involved in this process and be aware of what problems people face in Kosovo”, Djuric has said.

Djuriqi's reaction comes a day after Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has accepted by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj the state platform of the Republic of Kosovo for finalising dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
