And while the United States is facing a wave of “or springwork”, on the rest of the globe, hundreds of Australian firefighters are struggling with a powerful fire reported to have endangered several houses in the southern suburbs of Sydney.
New Fire Department South Wales expresses concern by “The flying cells” that could cause new fires as they face the main front of the flames.
Some local residents have been instructed to find other possible shelters, as evacuation at this moment is very dangerous. Finally, the weather in southeast Australia has been extremely hot for the current period of the year.
A fireman, Shane Fitzsimmons, has said the fire was “the aggressive”. Powerful winds are leading the flames to rural areas of the north and east.
Passengers of local trains have filmed dramatic images, while forced during railway trips to cross very close to areas facing flames.
The powerful fire is said to have affected over 2,500 hectares of land. More than 70 firefighters have been sent along the streets in an effort to keep the distance between the bush area and inhabited homes intact, while helicopters are throwing water out of the air.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull praised the emergency service response. We're dealing with an unusual heat for this season and this is a big concern. But we must face the worst that Mother Nature can offer us. The more difficult Australians are driven by nature, the more the spirit and the Australian soul” emerge, he pointed out.
