The head of the EU Office, Natalia Apostolova, spoke after publishing the European Commission's Progress Report, citing the impasses in establishing the Serbian Communist Association, writes Periscopi.
Apostolova has said that the actions of one side in the establishment of the Association are not to be concerned, because according to her in a discussion she had with the deputies of the Serbian List it was said that the April 20th deadline has only been a kind of cululcinnaum for the Kosovar side, that if she doesn't take anything to establish the ASK, they will act.
Apostolova has said that the Association format will be established in Brussels.
“Association attracts your attention and is normally an important issue. What will be true, which has been warned by Serbia, or what has been warned by Prime Minister Haradinaj, here I want to say that the process for establishing association will begin. This will be a dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade. The form of the statute will be agreed on by both sides. I was worried about the fact that April 20th was mentioned as a fact of the establishment of the association. But I have talked to the deputies of the Serbian List, and they have said this will only be a step if Pristina does not take any action. Dialogue between the two sides is essential. Single actions are not meant in dialogue scheme. And in Brussels it will be decided what form the status of association will be” Apostolova has said, Periscopi reports.
Asked about the VV MP's statement, Victory Pacolli that visas will not be liberalised either this year, Apostolova has denied having declared something like that.
Our “Our office and our representatives have been at a meeting where they discussed organised crime. I can't make visa predictions because it's not up to us. That's why basically it's not true, and we've never said anything like that”, added Apostolova.
She has said that the way Turkish citizens have been deported has caused many concerns, and according to her, she will also be identified in the Progress Report.
“Deporting Turkish citizens has caused many concerns. Especially the way they were deported, this is included in the report and you'll see”, has declared Apostolova.
Apostolova has also recalled the time when efforts had been made by former Prime Minister Mustafa's government to establish association, but since that time Serbian List had boycotted the Assembly, and the attempts to launch the ASC's foundation were in vain.
“Work for Association has had to start much earlier, I myself have participated in several attempts undertaken by Prime Minister Mustafa, but then it was time when the Serbian List boycotted the work of the Parliament, and these efforts were in vain. This process has already begun, though late. The association of Serbian municipalities will be established under the Kosovo Laws. So both sides have and understand the status of association on what he's going to look like -- 18x1> -- has ended Apostolova./Periscopi/.
