Six Turkish citizens arrested in Kosovo may not have been handcuffed by Kosovo police. So says the wife of one of the arrested who was present when the police took her husband.
The wife of the arrested Yusuf Karabina says the policemen who cuffed her husband were not Albanians. Says they were sent from Turkish secret services.
The police did not give us any information”, she tells Euronews.
“They were not Kosovo police officers but Turkish secret service people”, she explains further.
“were forcibly taken and left marks on my hands and on my son's chest”, Karabina shows.
Those arrested have been identified as Cihan ʼazkan, Kahraman Demirez, Hasan Hüseyin Günakan, Mustafa Erdem, Osman Karakaya and Yusuf Karabina.
The Gylenist Movement operates with schools in 160 countries from Afghanistan to the US.
In recent weeks Kosovo has been pressured by Turkey to take action against these schools founded by the Gylenist Movement.
Ankara says the six arrested in Kosovo on Thursday are responsible for recruiting on the Glenen network and that people accused of disrupting order in Turkey have been assisted.
Turkey accuses Gyleni, the Muslim leader who lives in the US of orchestrating the July 15th of 2016 coup and has declared his move as a terrorist.
Meanwhile, he has condemned any connection to the case.
