Murder, theft and seizure of drugs. Police detail all shares during 2017.

Through a report, Pristina Regional Directorate has announced its work during 2017 in fighting crime and various criminal groups, Periscope reports.

During this period police show that police activities for fulfilling its mission and institutional tasks have been better managed through better work planning, continuing to realise primary objectives, envisioned tasks, developing detailed analyses, better co-operation with prosecutor's organs and the court for ensuring public order and calm, etc.

According to police, during the past year 19, 358 cases, of which have been investigated, discovered and forwarded to relevant institutions, 67,99 %s, have been hit by dozens of groups and criminal networks.

“During this analysis period, over 700 different operations have been successfully carried out, resulting in the arrest of some of the suspected persons.
Attention has focused on pursuing the criminal situation and particularly on serious crimes, hitting groups and criminal networks, as well as harmonising the work of regional and regional police structures, with the aim of overcoming the criminal situation”, makes police feel hungry.

According to them, during the analysis period, the re-evaluation of the presence of crime phenomenon in the area of responsibility has been made, and on this basis individuals and criminal groups operating in every direction have been defined, task plans for their crackdown throughout this period were strengthened co-operation with the Prosecutor and Courts, and special investigative techniques were more successfully applied, as one of the most efficient forms in targeting individuals, groups and criminal networks.

During 2017, police have worked in terms of implementation of programmes that have aimed at the continued improvement of public order and safety parameters, giving priority to the fight against crime and, in particular, organized forms of crime.

According to police data, criminal acts against life and the body have marked increases of 0.71%. However, the death toll compared with 2016 has marked a decline.

The decrease in the number of criminal acts against life and body and the increased intelligence of such cases have resulted from the best work done by regional investigators, the application of more advanced tactics and techniques of investigation, clarification and intelligence of such cases, then the analysis of information and conflicts for different interests, the realisation that has been done to cases previously taken, by the analyses made concerning persons in the conflict, by specifying concrete tasks for intervention and resolving them in time, as well as by strengthening cooperation with citizens, local power and other state-run institutions that deal with crime.

During 2017 there have been increased cases of purchase, ownership, distribution of narcotics sales this year we have had a significant increase.

According to police during this period there were 349 cases of purchase, possession, distribution
in the sales of narcotic substances or an increase of 116.77%, since in 2016 the number was 161.

In this conflict the investigative structures of the region of Pristina have shown a very high efficiency of discovery, and especially in some of the special operations where large amounts of drugs have been seized.

A slight drop of 0.77 %s has been marked against property crimes. In 2017 there were recorded 6,730 criminal acts against property, down from 6588 criminal acts against property recorded in 2016.

During this period, Kosovo Police, in addition to campaigns, campaigning and various appeals for accident prevention, have also fined anti-vectors in traffic. The number of tickets proclaimed by the Pristina Regional Police Directorate unit during 2017 is 104682.

During this period of analysis the responsible structures of the Region Police in collaboration with other organisations and police assistance missions have enabled planning, preparation and implementation of a series of projects, of particular importance to the community and the Society, and Operation Safety in School, the consequences of the use of narcotics, the Prevention of juvenile delicience, the risk of street and traffic signs, tolerance, co-existence, and the consequences of crime, children working and seeking mercy, the importance of police work, the responsibility of minors, etc.

All stations and units of the Regional Police Directorate in Pristina, based on specific priorities, have been asked to realise concrete targets and tasks for the crackdown on criminal groups, preventing illegal trafficking, strengthening order and public security, improving community services, as well as increasing evidence of the fight against organised crime and corruption.

Based on annual monthly and annual assessments made by all regional stations and entities, as well as the annual assessment conducted at the regional level, it has been found that order and public security on the territory of the Pristina region is within normal and stable parameters.

Likewise, recognising the criminal situation for illegal trafficking, identity, prosecution in the dynamics of criminal groups for these trends, organising the work for prevention, striking and legal documentation of their activity, and strengthening their co-operation and co-ordination with other state administration structures has been a very important course of regional structures in fighting crime.

The level of co-operation with all participating structures in law enforcement has increased, as well as other services engaged in fighting for prevention, detection, documentation and crackdown on criminal activity. This co-operation has been realised both through exchange of bilateral information and with the performance of joint actions in the operational field.

Attention has also been given to the work on child protection, where special programs have been designed, certain tasks have been carried out, and it has been closely co-operated with other institutions and nonprofit organisations performing activities in the field of child rights protection. / Periscopi/
