Meditating on just one hour a day can absorb the effects of age - related cognitive weakness, a new study has shown.
Researchers at California University “Davis” have yet to explain why such a practice can have this effect, yet preliminary studies have shown that it causes brain changes that help people maintain their mental abilities.
The current study, which has lasted for seven years, has examined the long-term benefits of people from meditation.
The authors have concluded that meditation helps with brain aging.
Cognitive problems affect some 16 million people in the United States.
