As something suspicious was found in the special unit's food today in the media, Kosovo police have been clarified over food reports used by the Special Unit.
Police have clarified that specials are supplied with food from the selected company based on open procurement procedures.
“Explaining from the Kosovo Police about the text published on various portals, about food used by the PK Special Unit regarding today's publications at various portals, which concerns food used by the Special PK Unit, we inform you that: Kosovo police and Kosovo Police Special Units are supplied with food from the company, which has been selected on the basis of open public procurement procedures”, the report said.
“Although there is an ongoing monitoring and check-in of food quality, responsible officials who accept food on regular grounds have the right and the possibility of presumption of any links to food quality. Although reporting has occurred several days late, with claims that something suspicious has been found in the food, competent authorities within the KK have begun all necessary actions to handle and verify the case”, it was further said.
“The photo published in the media does not specify the location, time, or circumstances related to the case. Kosovo police are seriously handling this report about the allegations reported”.
