The political preferences of young people are also closely linked to their favorite politicians, in the sense of a model young people see as the right one to follow.
The Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI), held the discussion table “The attitudes and behavior of young voters”, during which the Opinion Research Report was published regarding the attitudes and political preferences of young people.
According to this research, however, the percentage of young people who don't see any current politicians as a model to follow is higher than the percentage of politician seen as the model.
The results show that 25.2 percent of young people have no model politician.
The most pronounced percentages of young people who have no model politician are observed by young people in the Serb community, with 81 percent. And the rest of the youths have given over 50 names of politicians who have the model, writes Koha.net.
Albin Kurti, viewed as a model by 13.7 percent of young people, leads this list.
After him, as the most popular politician is Ramush Haradinaj with 7.8 per cent, Vjosa Osmani with 7.4 per cent, Shpend Ahmeti with 7.3 per cent, Hashim Thaci with 7 per cent, and Kadri Veseli with 5.8 per cent.
Based on the ethnic division of respondents, Albanian model politician Albin Kurti is 14.4 per cent, while Serbian youth Slavko Singhi by 10 per cent.
