The young girl was born in February through the Cesarean cut that weighed 2.92kg, without complications, at the Baylor University Medical Centre in Dallas, Texas, doctors confirmed today, reports “Daily Mail”, the Periscopi broadcast.
The mother, who has not been identified, was born without wombs because of a syndrome called Mayer-Rotiansky-Küster-Huser (MRKH), which means she always thought pregnancy and birth were not an option for her.
That changed, however, when she became one of eight women selected to receive a womb from a donor as part of Baylor's innovative effort in 2016.
While four suffered complications leading to their removal, it is the second that has succeeded in an extraordinary operation.
