The two people who led the world to the brink of war could very soon sit face to face in what would constitute a historic meeting.
U.S. President Donald Trump has accepted the invitation of Corano-Visor leader Kim Jong for talks on nuclear fuel. The surprise announcement was made by the South Korean delegation, who met Thursday with the White House chief, the TCH reports.
The news was later confirmed by Trump's spokeswoman, Sarah Saunders, in a written statement, saying that the site and time of the meeting have not been determined and that until its observance, all sanctions and maximum pressure on the isolated communist country will remain in force.
The South Korean delegation met earlier this week with Kim Jong, who delivered a confidential letter to the US president. As members of the delegation claim, the Korean leader had indicated that “was committed to deregulation” and had promised that Peniani would be restrained from conducting further nuclear or missile evidence.
Trump himself made this comment on Thursday night in “Titter”: “Kim Jong spoke of ceding with South Korean representatives, not just freezing. There will also be no missile evidence from North Korea during this period of time. Major progress is under way, but sanctions will remain in force until an agreement is reached. The meeting is being planned!
South Korean President Moon Yae described this development as a mileic stone to peace, and added that such a meeting would put the peninsula on the road to complete dislearisation.
