Minister of Education, Science and Technology (MASHT), Shyqiri Bytyqi, will not give up the names proposed months ago for members of the State Council of Quality at the Kosovo Agency for Accrediting (AKA).
The request for cancellation of the proposed names has been put forward to civil society organisations that are part of the Coalition for Integrity and Transparency in Universities (KITU), Koha Ditore writes today.
Other representatives who deal with education and members of the parliamentary Commission for Education have the same demand. They consider that the new board needs people with high credibility and many professionals.
Kosovo's Agency for Acronym has been dysfunctional since 25 September last year, when at the request of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Minister Shyqi dismissed the agency's Board and the task of acting director of the Agency with the reasoning that the payment process has been forwarded to the “serious irregularities”.
