Yll Rugova, the director of Culture, Youth and Sports in Pristina, has made clear his position on which side is listed, following President Shpend Ahmeti's resignation last night by the Vetevendosje Movement.
Rugova has said he has competed with VVA in the election, which is chaired by President Albin Kurti.
I continue to be of the idea that Vetevendosje is now with Albin Kurti, has the chairman. I've competed in this election on behalf of Vetevendosje and I consider myself part of Vetevendosje”, he said of Express.
Rugova has said that within VV) there are formally no separate groups. The director of the directorate has refused to comment on Shpend Ahmeti's yesterday departure from all functions within VVA, saying this is his case.
Shpend Ahmeti last night declared his resignation from Vetevendosje. According to him, recent disagreements within the Vetevendosje Movement are the main reasons for his departure from the party.
I didn't enter Vetevendosje to fight each other inside the organisation, thus strengthening the past political class. The reason I entered Vetevendosje is no longer.
Disagreements have damaged the spirit, trust, and therefore the cause. I don't believe that the organization, in the situation it is today, is the fastest way to change, at least not in line with my positions and beliefs, Ahmeti writes, among other things, in his letter.
And while writing that his letter is not an attempt to blame anyone, Ahmeti stresses that his political future is more than ever linked to the capital.
