More than a thousand civilians killed is the latest balance of casualties following the fierce battles under way in the East Ghouta only in the last 21 days.
So has a war watchdog in Syria, while the number of deaths recorded by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, includes 227 children and 154 women.
According to Al Jazeera, in addition to the victims, at least 4,378 others have been injured as a result of fierce fighting between the Syrian army and rebel groups.
“Bundards focused on underground shelters and mosques and places that people have tried to hide, due to ongoing bombings”, a Douma activist, Abbeelly Aboud, reported Klan Kosova.
The increase in the death toll comes amid demands of another overnight chemical attack in the city of Arbin in eastern Ghotu, a suburb of the capital, Damascus.
