To understand how species, which grow up to 5cm, Chinese scientists have deciphered the entire genetic makeup of American bubreca, “Periplanta americata”.
They found that this species has more than 20,000 genes, making it as human.
Shuai Jean, who works for the Institute of Physiology, and Ecology in Shanghai, observed huge groups of genes that seem to help the American bubre survive on the implacable paths it has adapted to. /Periscopi/
