Rugova has said he will not resign and that Ahmeti's departure from Vetevendosje does not mean the party will be opposition because power is shared.
Besides Rugova, the director of Vetevendosje in the Pristina municipality is also Arben Vitita, who has also said he will act the way Vetevendosje recommends.
