But just as the law for stopping the importation of cars older than 10 years was envisioned, it has halved the import of vehicles used at 50 percent, or 1500 pieces less compared to the same period that had been imported, 3000.
Kosovo Customs spokesperson Adriatic Stavileci, in a proposal for Indexline, has said the number of cars used has marked a decrease compared to last year. But on the other hand, it has marked growth or double the import of new cars.
“Yes, during the first two months of January and February the new cars are 511 pieces worth about 8m euros, which represents an increase compared to the previous one, growth doubling compared to last year, respectively. And used vehicles have a 50% import reduction compared to the previous year we had 3,000 pieces until now we only have 1500 pieces of”, Stavileci said.
Otherwise, on June 27th the new auto law had been enacted, which envisions new import and car registration regulations.
By January of this year no one can import vehicles older than 10 years. The new vehicle law has brought about major changes in vehicle registration rates. /Indesksonline/
